Practice start-up

Contracting, credentialing and insurance enrollment

MEDEX has over 25 years of experience helping physicians, mid-level and allied professionals of every specialty obtain effective dates with almost every carrier serving the California market.  For many carriers we have personal relationships with insurance enrollment associates who will take our calls, answer our questions, and help to ensure our applications are approved quickly.  We submit enrollment documentation accurately so that approvals are not delayed.  We have worked with practices, clinics, and hospitals throughout the state to enroll the following types of entities:

Dividing the financial pie can be a challenging an sensitive task for physician group members.  MEDEX guides clients through the many options and strategies for designing a fair and equitable partnership model for sharing reimbursements and expenses.  We have worked with many legal professionals over the years to draft physician employment and expense sharing agreements that work for all parties.

Revenue cycle management and coding audit/review services

MEDEX had operated a revenue cycle management (RCM) service located in Oakdale California for twelve years employing 100 personnel and serving physicians and groups throughout California.  We sold the RCM service to a large San Diego firm in 2010 so we could focus on delivering consulting services. 

During the years MEDEX provided RCM service, we learned a great deal about the importance of correct coding, urgency of capturing accurate data (CPT codes), posting and submitting charges in a timely manner, providing consistent and timely follow-up on Accounts Receivable and providing useful monthly reporting.  Personalized service is the key to success.

MEDEX has since teamed up with several outstanding RCM companies in California that provide a full array of services and have consistently produced excellent results for over 30 years.  These companies use a variety of fully integrated software platforms that integrate scheduling, billing/collection and EHR into a seamless, affordable solution.  MEDEX can provide guidance in selecting an outstanding RCM company that will meet your needs.
